Letter from the Founder

Dear Friends,

As a practicing ophthalmologist and surgeon with clinics across Spain, Germany, Switzerland and Andorra, I have seen firsthand the profound impact that dry eye disease can have on people’s lives. Over the years, I’ve witnessed patients’ frustration—misdiagnosed, inadequately treated, or simply left without the information they need to manage their condition effectively.

This gap in awareness, understanding, and proper care inspired me to establish the World Dry Eye Foundation. Our mission is clear: to raise global awareness about dry eye disease, provide accessible and accurate information, and support individuals in taking proactive steps toward relief and better eye health.

Dry eye is a widespread and often overlooked condition. It’s time we change that. Through awareness, education, prevention, and compiling relevant resources, we aim to empower people around the world and ensure they receive the attention and care they deserve.
